2017 FASHION/INTERIOR DESIGN
A collaboration with a fashion design student (Claudia Estrada) under my exchange at Universidad De Monterrey (UDEM) in Mexico. We where asked to start the project with inspiration from a exhibition focusing on landscapes. And then use what we had learn trough "form finding" and origami earlier in the semester. A painting of Luis Nishizawa caught our attention. The triangular shapes in plywood is made by me with help from two Mexican classmates (María Fernanda Cruz Rodriguez and Ana Karen Izaguirre Charur). 2017 HERB KNIFE WITH CHOPPING BOARD
In spring of 2017 I choose to work with metal and woodworking for my 5 week exam. The inuits flint knifes caught my attention with it's organic lines on the handle. And led me further to the Ulu, a crescent shaped tool for processing clothes and food. The Ulu has been inspiration for many different knife designs to cut herbs. After a design analysis of the market I saw a need for a more sensory approach. During the creative process I sketched in clay, on paper, trough 3d-print, wood and metal. The latest prototype is a result of the strengths of all these sketch tools. "How to design a herb knife by focusing on ergonomic, sensory and multifunctional requirements?" |

2017 METAL WORKSHOP
A personal jewelry design: I chose a cluster of organic shapes that has been pursuing me thru my study progression at HiOA. The result is a ponytail cuff in bronze with a whittled wooden pin. By also making a pendant in brass I want to show how it could be extended to a larger collection. During the workshop I tested copper and brass reactions to vinegar, salt and ammonia. The combination of warm oak and copper gives the hairpiece a egde thru it's contrasting harmony |

2016 EXAM IN CERAMICS
"The minor in the major – nature under the magnifying glass." This was the exams topic and the angel I chose was to see the unwanted parts of nature. I ended up with an interactive exhibition where you are given an assignment: "Pick up a sculpture and match it with a quote about resilience." If you crack your head around it, I hope you can see with new eyes on a disadvantaged child. Perhaps it wasn’t cruelty you saw emerging as spikes, but a product of the fight for survival. A child with good resilience has established a set of psychological tools to handle whatever life throws at them. Look beyond the spikes and help a child develop resilience |

2014 GRADUATION PROJECT
My bachelors project is about the possibilities that facilitates between old walls.
"How can a old community house become a meeting point thats fulfill the needs of the present society?" I mainly worked with the entrance to the building how you are welcomed and lead in thru the facade. But the heart of the building pumps in the kitchen. A social place where generations can meet and inspire each other. |

2012 UNIVERSAL DESIGN EXHIBITION
During my second year at Oslo National Academy of The Arts (KHiO) we had a collaboration between graphic, interior and furniture design students to generate a exhibition about universal design. My groups installation are ment to give you an unconscious multi-sensory experience. It encourage to se beyond det differences in ability and highlight the opportunities we all have to a deeper sensory experience of our surroundings. When one enters between the paper, the sound is high, and the your eyesight loses its applicability. This creates a uncertainty and you have to reach out your hands to regain control of the situation. In the middle we cut out a room: Here you can see the blue daylight merging in to the warm halogen fluorescent that's lighting up the room. What you see, is it all there is? |
